Skys the Limit at blueFire

blueFire Wilderness has a partnership with Skys the Limit (STLF) to help all our clients afford the help they need. STLF provides financial assistance to families in need to offset the cost as our service is rarely covered by health insurance companies. To qualify for this service you need to visit their site and apply online, they will review and consider things such as cost of living, number of dependents, past and ongoing treatment. Adolescents or young adults must already be accepted at blueFire, but has not entered the program yet, to apply for STLF.

Insurance

BlueFire does not work directly with insurance companies, however if needed we can provide you with session notes, diagnostic codes and invoices from throughout your child’s stay that you can use to request reimbursement from your insurance company. In our experience, most insurance companies initially deny coverage and families must go through an extensive appeal process. Some families have had success with insurance reimbursement by using the outdoor/wilderness behavioral healthcare, revenue code 1006.

Our families that have had the most success receiving reimbursement worked with a healthcare advocate. Below is the name of two we have worked with in the past.
