Adventure Director

Since childhood, I have always loved spending time outside. Growing up in Michigan, I spent my summers fishing and camping, and my winters cross-country skiing. As I grew older, I realized that the outdoor adventures I was having were not only filling me with joy and connecting me to the present moment, but also building me into a better person. I’m here at blueFire today because I’m passionate about self-development through adventure and mindfulness.

In 2020, I completed my B.S. in Environmental Science at The University of Tampa in Florida. It was during my college years that I started to understand more of the connection between mental health and physical health. I started practicing yoga as a way to cope with the stress of high-achieving academic life, and it helped me so much that I completed a 200hr yoga teacher training in 2019. I continue to practice yoga and mindfulness every day and am always excited to share these life-changing practices with others.

I was intending to work as a marine scientist after college, so the Idaho desert was the last place I could’ve expected to end up building a career. However, graduating during the COVID-19 pandemic sidelined my original career plans, and I became curious about working in mental health after my experience practicing and teaching yoga. I worked at blueFire as a field instructor from November 2020 to May 2022, and it ended up being my dream job, as I got to combine my passion for mindfulness with the outdoors. In that time, I also witnessed so many clients benefit from blueFire, and it was so rewarding to support them along the way.

I took a brief hiatus from blueFire to pursue my own growth through outdoor adventures, hiking 1,500 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail in 2022 and bike-packing 2,700 miles across the continental divide in 2023. Returning as an Adventure Coordinator from 2023-2025 and Adventure Director in 2026, I’m excited to continue sharing my passion and facilitating clients’ learning. I was also able to complete my 300hr advanced yoga teacher training in 2025 and am focused on continuing to weave yoga and mindfulness into our adventure weekends and staff trainings.

In my time outside of blueFire, I enjoy spending time cooking, playing ukulele, riding my bike, crafting, and taking care of my pet betta fish Bennie."
